My dear and very much missed friend Kostya and myself when we were teaching Karate back in 1990-1992. Those kids thought we were Gods. We used important-sounding Japanese words and taught them not only kicks and punches, but also all sorts of life philosophy. The kids were amazing! Some of them had no money to pay and I kept extending their payment deadlines so that, in fact, they would be doing it for free. Looking back now, I think I was probably making a few hundred bucks a year doing it - but it was SO FUN!!!
